DESTINATIONS IN MISSISSIPPI

MISSISSIPPI is divided into five (5) areas:

The HillsTHE HILLS
The hills of Northeast Mississippi offer the excitement of exploration. The sweeping beauty of vistas for each hilltop entices a desire for sailing and water skiing ... hunting and fishing ... hiking and camping ... all of which are easily available. These forests are the inspiration of author William Faulkner and have a history steeped in grand Southern traditions. Whether visiting an antebellum mansion or cheering an Ole Miss Rebels football game, the flavor of the deep south is here for the tasting.
Destinations: Corinth, Hernando, Oxford

The DeltaTHE DELTA
The Mississippi Delta is a special place. The oldest of Southern traditions are still alive here ... family plantations are still producing cotton as well as other modern cash crops. The charm and hospitality of its people will welcome you with an outpouring of emotions. This is where the Delta Blues were inspired and are nurtured just like the crops that flourish in its soil. As you crest the last hill and begin your descent into its vast fertile area, the view will be one you won't soon forget.

Add the stimulation of festivals, music, art, the theatre, Spring Pilgrimages, harness racing and country cooking and you'll discover a place with a deep sense of culture. No one knows better how to have fun or relax than the people of the plains.
